Wrestlemania... The WWE Biggest Pay-Per-View Event That Only Happens once a Year... It is the event where champions are Made, and where Legends become immortalize by their peers and by their fans. But For the past couple Years Wrestlemania has took on a new image, that has shown fans that all things must come to an end. What i'm Talking about is Career ending matches that change the face of Wrestlemania for ever, but the question has arrived yet again as the year 2011 is around the corner and every fan is wondering who is Next to say their final Farwell....
This all began at Wrestlemania VII, when the ultimate warrior battled the macho king randy savage in a career ending match. This was the first time in WWF History that this style of a match would be contested between two future WWE Hall of famers. The match was over an Hour going back and forth, until both men couldn't go any longer, in the end the ultimate warrior defeated randy savage for the win. Randy savage career was over, or so we thought!! two years later randy savage was reinstated, and eventually meet the warrior yet again but this time it was for the WWF Championship at Summerslam at Wembley Stadium in london englund.
In 2008, another wrestler took his final bow in the wrestling ring, it was not secret that it was the nature boy ric flairs time to hang it up. Ric flair never contiplated on retiring in 2008, but vince mcmahon said it was time... so ric flair went on a wrestling schedule that would end at Wrestlemania XXIV. The line up of wrestlers who went up against ric flair all were defeated by the nature boy until a familiar face who has made his life out performing every wrestler for years has step up to the plate to make history once more that man was The heartbreak kid Shawn micheals. At Wrestlemania Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels battled in a classic match between the old and the new sort of speaking. lol.. But in the end Shawn Michaels Prevailed and Ric Flair walked down the aile for a final time in a heart felt night that was 40 years in the making... Ric flair wrestled in the 70's, 80's, 90's, 2000's, between two companies NWA & WWE. After Wrestlemania was over the next day on Raw Ric Flair said his goodbye to the fans, but the WWE wasn't done yet... Triple H came down to say thank you & all of the rest of the WWE roster came down to say thank you also, even the Undertaker & Vince Mcmahon, but the highlight of the night was when triple H brought down four familiar people who helped shape ric flairs career into Immortality they were the four horsemen(arn anderson, tully blanchard, barry windham, james j. Dillion).
Two Years later, another wrestler's time had come and it was none other than the man who ended ric flair career two year prior at wrestlemania 24, that man is Shawn Michaels. At Wrestlemania 26 shawn michaels wrestled the undertaker in a classic beyond classics match.
Just a year prior to wrestlemania 25 shawn michaels and the undertaker wrestled in a classic match. shawn michaels wanted to end the undertakers undefeated streak but was unsuccessful in doing so. Then at wrestlemania 26 shawn michaels challenged the undertaker to wrestle him one more time to try to end the undefested streak, the undertaker said no. A couple of months later shawn michaels cost the undertaker the world heavyweight title in a match with three other participants. The Next Night on Raw the undertaker took shawn michaels perposal for a match at wrestlemania but this time the stakes are much higher, shawn michaels had to put his career on the line in a streak vs. career match at Wrestlemania 26. During the match shawn michaels and the undertaker gave the fans what they wanted, a match that beat the previous one.... In the end the undertaker prevailed once more going 18-0, and shawn michaels career was over... The Next Night on Raw just like ric flair two years ago, shawn michaels said his goodbye to the fans & the WWE and said he would not return to wrestle in the WWE.
Now The Question still remains, just like the title says....... Who is Next to say Their Final Farwell ???? I leave you to answer this one.........
