Pro Wrestling Managers... These are the People who stick out the most in pro wrestling. Everyone who has seen wrestling in the late 70's to early 80's and so on can tell you about managers, like the Grand Wizard, Jimmy "Mouth of the South" Hart, Jimmy Valiant, Mr. Fugi, The Doctor of Style Slick, Captian Lou Albano, Miss Elizabeth, Oliver Humperdinc, and so on and so forth. But if there was one Manager who stook out the most, weather good or bad.. preferably bad it would be Bobby the Brain Heenan. Bobby Heenan was a pro wrestler in the mid 70's and retired from wrestling in the early 80's. Heenan Jumped from the AWA to WWE to WCW in his career and was and still loved by many fans as the Weasel. Weasel Weasel Weasel Weasel... lol.
Bobby had a Stable called The Heenan Family that had so many famous wrestlers in the WWE.
Such Wrestlers like Big John Studd, King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, Hercules Hernandez, The brain Busters, The Islanders, Ravishing Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect, Ric Flair.
In mid 90's Bobby retired from managing because of his history of Neck Problems, so he went to becoming a Broadcaster with Vince mcmahon and Gorilla Monsoon. while bobby was broadcasting he also brought some talent over from different organizations, two comes to mind is Lex Luger & Ric Flair, both jumped to the WWE in the mid 90's to keep their careers intact, but Ric Flair left the WWE in early 1993 in a loser leaves town match, Lex Luger stayed and got a spot in a storyline with then late Yokozuna in a USA vs Japan War over the WWF Championship.
In Late 1993 Bobby Heenan left the WWE in a storyline with Gorilla Monsoon, which started when bobby was involved with Ric Flair. Bobby told vince that he had enough that his body suffered to much abuse in and out of the wrestling ring, so Bobby was let go on an episode of Monday Night Raw when Gorilla Monsoon took bobby by the neck and threw him out of the arena door. lol a classic end to a classic guy.
But Bobby Returned to the wrestling spot light down south at WCW. Heenan debuted on an episode of the Clash of champions, Like Heenan another familiar face showed up also mean Gene oakerlund, both men great friends and til this day party like their were still young. Bobby would stay in WCW til late 1998 then he would go back to the WWE to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Before bobby was inducted he had Battled Throat Cancer, and won but from time to time bobby would get sick and ended up in the hospital. At the WWE hall of fame Ceremoney bobby was inducted and what a time he had... Bobby said during his induction that " You want to talk about wild life, we had everything, Snakes, bulldogs, dragons, a parrot, a gorilla, and i was the weasel'. But bobby stole the show that night and deserved everything...
So what can you say about bobby the brain heenan, a great manager, a great broadcaster, a pain in the A** at times, but you have to admit when bobby was good, he was good, but when he was bad he was the weasel....
