Tonight's Special Topic is an update on Jim Ross blog on the Discussion on TNA being the new WCW. Here is the article...
- Is TNA The New WCW? "No. Comparing the turner Network that aired WCW back in the day ala TBS and TNT isn't a fair Comparison to the Spike Network. TNT was, as best as I Recall, one of the Top 1-3 Cable Networks in existance back in those days while Spike isn't even in the Top 15 Cable Networks in today's Market place. Some of the on air and in ring talent's are the same but i'm not so sure that's a good thing either. I have old friends who work for TNA and for their sake and for the sake of the biz in general I hope that TNA does Well. For Those fan's who theorize that TNA will Eventually kick WWE's ass those folks need to lay off Magic Mushrooms. -Jim Ross aka JR.
Now after hearing that i had to agree with JR because alot of fan's have compared TNA to WCW because of Hogan and Bischoff. Well i'd have to say is if Hogan and Bischoff is such a bad thing, why did the WWE take Hogan and Bischoff after WCW went under. alot of fan's period need to get there heads straight, TNA isn't WCW no matter how much in looks like WCW it isn't WCW.
Just because they have old wrestlers like Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Sting, isn't going to make anything better than it already is. Alot of TNA fans love these old wrestlers because it's the old wrestlers who love the business, who has passion for the business. It was Sting, who told AJ Styles to stay in TNA, because AJ was going to leave TNA in the beginning of 2010. No matter how you see it, it's these old wrestlers who show the young talent how to become a wrestler, and how to improve your craft and experience in the business.
